The Kenya National Research Festival 2024
August 19 - August 23
The Kenya National Research Festival will be held on 19-23 August 2024. The festival is strategically designed to raise awareness about the diverse spectrum of research activities in Kenya and internationally. It aims to encourage collaboration on both domestic and international fronts, providing a conducive space to instil principles of robust research leadership and elevating the overall research culture. The festival focuses primarily on interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary research, encompassing current and future initiatives that contribute to realising the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In alignment with the strategic frameworks outlined in the Kenya Vision 2030 and the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) model, the festival is poised to catalyze research-driven socioeconomic development. Envisioned as a gathering of minds, the festival brings together researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs thought leaders and citizenry to showcase and make significant contributions to the nation’s progress. It underscores the pivotal role of research in navigating the path towards developmental milestones and echoes the broader vision of a thriving Kenya propelled by knowledge, innovation, and collaborative excellence.
Our project partner, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, plans to showcase UPSCALE work done so far.
